Tradely is an iOS trading journal app that helps active traders log trades, track performance metrics, and identify behavioral patterns through AI-powered coaching. This page explains how Tradely uses brokerage account data when you choose to connect a broker.
Tradely is a personal trading journal. Users manually log trades — symbol, entry/exit price, size, dates, fees, setup tags, and notes — to track their own trading performance, discipline, and patterns over time. For users who'd rather not enter trades manually, Tradely offers an optional broker connection that automatically imports positions and trade history into the journal.
Tradely uses SnapTrade, a third-party brokerage data aggregator, to let users securely connect their existing brokerage accounts. This eliminates manual trade entry and keeps a user's journal automatically up to date.
With a user's explicit connection, Tradely requests read-only access to:
We do not request trading permissions. Tradely cannot place trades, transfer funds, or modify a user's brokerage account in any way.
Synced positions and trade history are used solely to populate the user's personal trade journal within the app — the same data model a user would otherwise enter manually. This data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose beyond the user's own journal.
Tradely never sees or stores a user's brokerage login credentials. Authentication happens entirely within SnapTrade's secure Connection Portal and the user's broker; Tradely only receives a connection reference token from SnapTrade after a successful connection.
Users can disconnect a brokerage account at any time from within Tradely's settings, or directly through their brokerage's own account security settings.
