This Privacy Policy describes how Tradely ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use the Tradely iOS application (the "Service").
Tradely is built privacy-first. Your trade journal — entries, prices, P&L, notes, and attachments — is stored locally on your device (and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your own private iCloud account). We do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers. Pro subscribers who use AI Coach features send specific trade details to our AI providers solely to generate that insight; Pro subscribers who use Peer Comparison share anonymized, aggregate statistics to enable that feature. Both are described in detail below and can be avoided by not using those specific features.
Your trade entries — symbols, prices, sizes, P&L, setup tags, mood, notes, and attachments — are stored in an App Group container on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, this data also syncs to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit, encrypted by Apple and never accessible to us. We do not otherwise transmit your trade journal to our servers.
If you're a Pro subscriber and use AI Coach — including post-trade analysis, the pre-trade check, and the weekly AI review — the relevant trade details (symbol, prices, size, dates, tags, and notes for the trade(s) being analyzed) are sent to our backend, which forwards them to OpenAI and/or Anthropic to generate the insight, and the resulting insight is stored on your device. This data is used solely to generate your personal Coach insight and is not used to train AI models, sold, or shared with any other party. If you don't use AI Coach features, no trade data is sent anywhere.
If you're a Pro subscriber and use Peer Comparison, we submit an anonymized weekly snapshot — a one-way hashed device identifier, your win rate, and your trade count for that week — to our backend, used to compute and show you an anonymous percentile against other Tradely users. No symbols, dollar amounts, notes, or anything else identifying is included. If you don't use Peer Comparison, this data is never submitted.
If you connect a brokerage account, we use SnapTrade, a third-party brokerage data aggregator, to securely retrieve your account positions and trade history for the sole purpose of populating your Tradely journal. We do not store your brokerage login credentials — these are handled entirely by SnapTrade and your broker. We request read-only access and do not place trades or transfer funds on your behalf. When you purchase a Tradely Pro subscription, Apple processes the transaction through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple's privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy. We receive only an anonymous transaction receipt — never your payment details.
If you opt in via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share with App Developers, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us. These reports do not contain your trade data.
Tradely is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
